Canada regularly offers invitations to apply for permanent residence through the Express Entry system, be it through Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, Canadian Experience Class or the Provincial Nominee Program.
To receive an invitation, candidates must submit an Express Entry profile to enter the Express Entry pool of candidates. A candidate will have a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score based on their background, which considers factors such as education, age, and work experience.
On November 15, 2018, Canada issued 3,900 invitations. The lowest CRS score required to receive an invitation in this round was 449. November’s cut-off score is modestly higher than previous rounds this fall. The last time the cut-off exceeded 449 was in June (451).
