This is an application that is necessary to determine if there are any new risks to your life prior to removal to Canada. In many instances, you may have made a refugee claim inside Canada that was denied several years ago and circumstances may have changed in your home country, thus making it dangerous again for you to return. This must be assessed in a PRRA before you can be removed. It should be noted here that under Canada’s new rules, you are only eligible to submit a PRRA if you are still inside Canada one year after your refugee refusal.
