Sherif is a lawyer and Founding Partner at Ashamalla LLP. As a Canadian lawyer practicing exclusively in immigration and refugee law for over a decade, Sherif founded the firm to assist his clients with the full range of immigration and refugee matters. Sherif assists clients from around the world with their immigration to Canada, and has extensive experience with matters including inland refugee claims, family sponsorship, skilled immigration, and applications for temporary residence. Sherif appears regularly before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada and the Federal Court.
Sherif graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto and is called to the Ontario Bar. Before establishing his own firm in 2010, Sherif worked at the prestigious immigration law firm of Waldman & Associates.
Monique Ashamalla

Monique is a lawyer and Managing Partner at Ashamalla LLP.
Monique specializes in refugee and immigration appeals and Federal Court judicial review. She has successfully argued several cases before the Refugee Appeal Division and the Federal Court.
Monique is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers, and the Refugee Lawyers Association of Ontario.
Monique holds a B.Sc. (Hons) from McMaster University and earned her law degree from Queen’s University.

Nermine is a Registered Canadian Immigration Consultant with the firm. Nermine assists with all aspects of Canadian immigration applications, including all categories of permanent residence, temporary resident permits, Labour Market Impact Assessments, and family sponsorships.
