Sherif is a partner at Ashamalla LLP.  As a Canadian lawyer practicing exclusively in immigration and refugee law, Sherif founded the firm to assist his clients with the full range of immigration and refugee matters. Sherif assists clients from around the world with their immigration to Canada, and has extensive experience with matters pertaining to both inland refugee claims and overseas sponsorship. Sherif appears regularly before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada and the Federal Court.

Sherif graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto and was called to the Ontario Bar. Before establishing his own firm in 2010, Sherif worked at the prestigious immigration law firm of Waldman & Associates.

Monique is a partner at Ashamalla LLP. She holds a B.Sc. (Honours) from McMaster University and earned her J.D. from Queen’s University.

Monique’s practice focuses primarily on immigration matters, including Express Entry, business immigration, Provincial Nominee and Entrepreneur Programs, and work permits.

Previously, Monique worked at distinguished Canadian law firms as a lawyer specializing in intellectual property litigation. There, she appeared numerous times before the Federal Court. She brings that experience to represent clients seeking judicial reviews and appeals.

Rizni has worked in immigration law for over 15 years, and has developed expertise in all aspects of immigration to Canada.  While she assists clients with a full range of immigration matters, Rizni specializes in Humanitarian & Compassionate applications and Sponsorship applications, made both inside and outside of Canada.

Rizni earned a double Honours degree in Psychology and Law & Society from York University. She then earned her Diploma in Court and Tribunal Administration, and also holds a Diploma as a Certified Immigration Specialist.

Before joining Ashamalla LLP, Brigitte developed extensive experience with refugee matters at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Cairo Regional Office.  There, she spent five years as an Eligibility Assistant in the Refugee Status Determination Unit before becoming a Senior Resettlement Assistant.

In Toronto, Brigitte supported the Refugee Sponsorship Training Program (RSTP), where she developed further experience with Canada’s immigration and refugee process. Brigitte graduated from the American University in Cairo having majored in Political Science & International Relations, with a minor in Philosophy.
